CITY COMMISSIONER-ELECT

Thank you, Paducah, for the trust and support you’ve given me. I’m truly honored to serve as your next City Commissioner. This journey has been four years in the making, guided by a passion and purpose that God has placed in my heart.

My campaign has been built on a foundation of faith in Christ, with the steadfast support of this community as its backbone. You, the people of Paducah, have been my motivation and my inspiration to make a meaningful difference. I am committed to honoring the trust you’ve placed in me by leading with integrity, transparency, and resolve. I will be bold, yet respectful, holding both myself and my fellow commissioners accountable as we work together for the greater good of our city.

I am also deeply honored to share that, with your support, we’ve made history together. After careful research, it appears that I am the youngest elected City Commissioner in Kentucky’s history, at 26 years old, I carry this milestone with pride. A major goal of mine has always been to inspire the next generation, and show them that age is no barrier. This should serve notice that our voices matter and we can make a difference!

This moment is also a deeply personal one, as I honor the legacy of my great-grandfather, James H. Thomas, who broke barriers as the first Black city councilman in Clinton, Kentucky. Though he passed at the age of 96 before he could witness this achievement, I step forward with his example and his spirit, embracing this role with a servant’s heart.

Thank you again Paducah, for this incredible opportunity. I am excited to serve you, uplift our community, and walk together toward a brighter future.
